Supporting stars

A supporting star is used between the final hole plate and the union nut and prevents the final hole plate from becoming bent. The spokes of the turbocut tc3 hole plate are especially adapted to the spokes of the supporting star and therefore lower the risk of the material being crushed.

Another function of the supporting star is to provide the bearing for the worm pin. The high radial forces are absorbed by the bearing in the supporting star which reduces the wear and tear on the cutting set parts and worm pin.
